Highway 2 BRT Phase 1

Approval was given to increase the Highway 2 Bus Rapid Transit System cost projections by $6.6 million to a revised total project cost of $100.7 million as a result of higher than anticipated costs for the expansion of the DRT Westney facility and DRT Raleigh Facility. Financing for the increased costs will be provided by allocating $978,000.00 in financing from the 2010 Durham Region Transit Budget and the remaining $5,465,000.00 from the issuance of debenture debt, for a term not to exceed 10 years. The resulting annual debt charges will be included in the DRT Annual Business Plans and Budgets.

Lawrie Road Flooding Mitigation

R.V. Anderson Associates Limited was awarded the engineering services contract for the detailed design of the basement flooding mitigation solution in the Lawrie Road Service area.
