Colleen attended The Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities
Initiative,
June 17 - 19, 2009. During the conference members were taken
on a tour
of the research vessel, affiliated with the University of Trois
Riviere
and the municipality, studying the effects of pollution on fish.
A tour
of the waterfront provided participants insight as to the work
accomplished and future plans to enhance the waterfront (a former
pulp
and paper mill) and transform it into a sustainable, valuable
public
asset.
