Burcher & Admiral Road

Please be advised that the Region of Durham has tendered a project to replace the sanitary sewer and watermains on Burcher Road and on Admiral Road in the Town of Ajax. 

The exact limits of the project will extend from Bayly Street to Admiral Road on Burcher Road and on Admiral Road from Burcher Road to approximately 800 m north to the Forest Road easement. The project is scheduled to commence on Monday, April 4th, and due to the scope of the work and the depth of the services involved, be completed by no later than the end of September, 2005.

Those residents on Burcher Road and on Admiral Road who will be affected by this work will be notified by the Region of Durham.

CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE

The Region's contractor, The Comer Group Limited, will be mobilizing their equipment and personnel on site to commence work the week of  April 4, 2005 and is expected to complete work by the end of September 2005.
Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

The streets affected by the construction will remain closed to through traffic for the duration of the contract and although the contractor will strive to maintain access for all local residents, some minor traffic delays are to be expected. If due to the nature of the work a resident is unable to access their driveway, they are requested to park on the road or an adjacent side street. Areas that are disturbed by new construction work will be restored as soon as possible.

The Region realizes that the construction work will be somewhat disruptive and sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding in this regard. Their on site staff will be vigilant in keeping local residents informed of the contract's progress, and hope to keep these inconveniencies to a minimum. Every effort will be made in order to complete the construction work as quickly and efficiently as possible.
