Pittmann, Brooksbank, Panter & Dreyer Road Improvements – 2004 

Pittmann, Brooksbank, Panter and Dreyer were approved for resurfacing work through the 2004 Capital Budget process.  The contract of $468,289.27 for this work has been approved by Council. 

Due to the early preparation and tender calls, significant cost savings resulted which has allowed for the advancement to this year for similar work to also be  done on Dreyer  Drive between Clements and Pickering Beach Road. Council has provided approval for a budget in the amount of $130,000.00 for Dreyer. 

This resurfacing also includes replacement of curbs and sidewalks as well as roadway sub drains.  

The roadwork is expected to begin May 10^th and completed by no later than July 23^rd.  

This road work should provide an additional 15 years life expectancy to these roads.  Road resurfacing done in a timely fashion can avoid extensive future costs for road replacements.
